Cultural Connections Plus

Uniting Kildonan are providing the Cultural Connections Plus program. It 
includes the evidence based Parenting in a New Culture activity to help newly-arrived families adjust to a new cultural environment, Through the Looking Glass to families that may have been exposed to trauma through their Refugee and a School 
Transition Program for CaLD families to help transition from Kinder to 
Primary School.

Parent Baby Day Stay

Parent Baby Day Stay is being 
implemented by FamilyCare. This 
activity offers customised parenting 
attention and support to families to 
observe the modelling of positive 
parenting practices, leading to improved parent-child attachment and increased social and service networks. The 
service offers assistance with feeding, sleep and practical parenting advice. Staff work in conjunction with Maternal and Child Health Nurses, General 
Practitioners, Paediatricians, Maternal & Paediatric Wards and other universal agencies.
